Cancellation Policy
1. Booking Policy All individual therapy sessions must be booked through the online scheduling system (e.g., Calendly) at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions are strictly 50 minutes with no modifications to the session length. Clients are encouraged to book recurring weekly appointments to maintain therapeutic continuity, especially within a structured DBT program. A booking is not considered confirmed until you receive the automated confirmation email from the scheduling system. 2. Payment Policy Payment is due before the session, specifically at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, unless a pre-arranged payment plan is already in place. Missed sessions or late cancellations will be charged in full (see cancellation policy). Clients enrolled in monthly or full-program payment plans will be billed independently of cancellations or missed sessions. Failure to complete payment may result in the session being released to another client. 3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy To ensure fairness and access for all clients: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full session rate. Missed sessions or “no-shows” are also charged in full. Exceptions may be made only for genuine emergencies, such as: sudden medical issues, accidents, unexpected hospitalization, loss of electricity or internet/WiFi outages. These exceptions are granted at the therapist’s discretion and may require brief explanation or documentation. Why this policy is important: Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. Late cancellations prevent others—especially those on waitlists—from accessing therapy. 4. Late Arrival Policy If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without communication, the session may be marked as a no-show and charged accordingly. 5. Waitlist Policy If weekly therapy slots are full: You may request to be added to a waitlist for weekly or biweekly individual therapy sessions. Openings will be offered in the order they were requested. Clients have 24 hours to accept the offered slot before it is offered to the next person. You may decline temporary, one-time openings without losing your place on the waitlist. Priority may be given to: Current DBT program participants Clients requiring weekly sessions as part of structured treatment
